Default Well

I was actually in the market for a new 6.0. I was actually working on my truck "before it was my truck" about 4 months before I bought it and my 2 favorite salesmen came up on the golf cart and started BSing with me. I told them "boys, if you ever come across one JUST LIKE THIS let me know". Reason being it the original owner still had it and it had NEVER pulled anything. 98,000 original miles. All highway. Spray in bedliner "why I dont know". I put ball joints in, bg service in both diffs, transfer case, trans and new brakes all the way around. About 2500 worth of service. Well, Last may "2006" my buddy Don comes up and says "your truck is here". I had forgot even though we are the only people to have ever touched this truck every 4000 miles. I walked up with him and it hit me. There it sat. He had just traded it in on an '06. I even had warrenty left on it to do some of my own work to it. I broke the truck in 2 weeks later pulling my Chevelle home. Best part is. My soon to be wife Chelle was in Atlanta at a conference and it was at the house when she got back. She likes it just as much as me and she looks hot driving it to!

This is right after I got it.

This is after goodies and leveling kit

Cool story. That's the way to find 'em, sounds like it's a good one.

Nice looking truck!

Did you install cab lights? (Last pic)

Since you work on them what is the deal with the ball joints on them? (theres another thread about them)

Are they a weak link or what?

Default Yeah

I installed the cab lights in it. It comes as a kit from ford. Everything is plug and play. The harness plug is already in the truck. Its normal for a super duty to need ball joints at 70 to 100,000 miles. The trick is to get greaseable upper and lowers to replace them with.

Cool story! Thats the way to find em too.

I have to say, at least the "Pony" mobile isnt a multi color rust box! It is a nice install. But its an s-10! Didnt GM put some form of a small diesel in them or was that a Ford thing? Buddy of mine has this cute little 4cyl inline diesel in a..... Mazda? it real neat lookin, somethin that deserves an hy-9.
