i don't think you have to go to the auction.
when my buddy wrecked his 2002 cummins last spring. he had 1st refusal.
they wanted $7500

we could see the tranny was cracked, the engine was leaking oil from some where. and the axle was pushed back in the passengers fender about 4 inches or so.

those being the valuable parts. he declined their offer

but before the insurance company got it i did get to swipe a nice pioneer stereo

 

Looks like everyone has the topics covered. I just wanted to offer my condolences on the truck, but thanks to whoever was watching you that you're alive and gradually getting well. Thanks for the wishes ya'll. Im doin alright, got the move to rehab done. N switched to some turbocharged Vicoden too. im just kinda goin at any givin moment now.

Im acctually in a wheelie chair right now, they gotta use a crane ("hoyer") thing to move me round cause of the hip and arm/shoulder breaks. I felt like a motor being hoisted round.

to start off i am very glad you are alive yea you got a few broken bones but they will heal with time....however i do not feel for ya...you admited to having a few beers yes you said only a couple and not enough to justify this. but a couple beers mixed with lack of sleep or a very long day is just as bad as having a 12 pack...when you started getting tired you should have asked for help. you need to go out and give that tree a huge hug and thank it for stopping you. what would you have done if you hit another car and killed a child or a mother or a father.....????? right now you would be facing jail time and and you would have to go thru the rest of your lift with that on your chest........
