How do you get double sided tape off?

Default How do you get double sided tape off?

I had my passenger side vent visor break off the other day and now there's a line of double sided tape. Anyone know how to get it off? Im also wanting to take off my bug Shields over the lights but there also on with double sided tape. Any help is greatly appreciated guys.

Pull as much tape off as you can and WD-40 or automotive goo-gone will take care of the residue.

heat up with hair dryer, and apply paper towl with alcohol

WD-40 has worked for me, Keep it wet and let it soak first.
