Diesel Performance Plus is having their first annual open house/dyno day. There is some talk about maybe going to the drag strip near there also. Here's a link to the post in the Gulf South Regional forum.

The Jasper I'm talking about is about 2 hours or so south of me towards Houston. From where you are, head south on 271, then east on I-20 til you get to 59. Then head south to Jasper.
Get your trans done and come hang out and thrash it. I have a couple of toys to install this weekend, and with any luck, may have a few more by the time April rolls around. Should be fun.

ummm this might be a silly question but here it goes...
When you do a dyno run do you bog the truck out in last gear and just nail it?

You want to start down low RPM's in your 1:1 gear.. that way you get a more accurate result. In the case of the Allisons, it was 4th gear..

You can't be first, but you can be next. Although I was born and raised in Texas, my family on my dad's side were some of the first people to settle Mangum, so I have ties to both states. Besides, it's fun to keep the Oklahoma Texas rivalry stirred up.
