Default new project pictures

02 cummins has slight knock low on oil almost a brand new injection pump still runs picked it up for $200 from the pictures can any one tell me anything about this motor like the block i took some pics of some numbers but not sure which is which

seems like a good starting point. you will need a complete harness and computer to run that motor in it's current condition.

OR you could P-pump it but that would be perty expensive as you would need new injectors, lines, p-pump etc. you could always put a 12v head on it and then p-pump it and it would use factory off the shelf parts. you can sell the head and vp-44 and fuel lines and injectors and can have a nive little chunk to put toward making it a p-pumped 12v..... but now that i am thinking it you would need the 12v pistons too.......


so if i were you i'd go to a junk yard and look for a comp and a complete harness for it.....


BTW i wouldn't have passed it up for 200bux.... and i'm a 12v guy.....

ya i was going to wait a couple years to do this but i couldnt pass the deal up. and i think i will leave it a 24v im lookin for around 450hp towable. is this possible

im in no hurry to get it done but im willin to put alot of money in to it. i mean the truck is giong to be done up show quality and ive got money not alot but some

then there shouldn't be a problem getting to that power level. you'll prolly have injectors, turbo, manifold, programmer. that should be good to 400+ depending on the combo.....

thats what i was thinkin but wont i need an aftermarket injection pump and a fass or somthing of that sort to keep it reliable

good start you picked up a 55 Storm block it looks like so you got the stronger motor.

For 450HP you should be fine with a SO VP44 but a FASS or Airdog is a big 10-4
