ya their tech goes as follows....
driver: i need to get teched
tech inspector: alright crank your truck up..
driver: sure (driver cranks up diesel engine)
tech inspector: alright it is a diesel....you meet the specifications for the street diesel class. here is your tech card

The only time I pulled there the tech inspector asked what color my truck was while we were a couple hundred yards away from it. He then asked for my 20 bucks and said thanks.
