smoked my clear cab lights also today. i did it a little different this time, i will post some pics but there not that good. i painted the inside of lights and cleared the outside, along with alot of sanding

Hey Slow, did you just pull the assembly out, disassemble it and paint it with normal black spray paint? was there any other prep to darkening the tail lights?

I cant say it enough man, your truck looks SLICK bud.. awesome job!


And yeah, I been in the oilfield industry long enough to recognize that particular sticker.. and if you wanted to come over to the drilling side, you aint gotta worry about those old spinnin chains anymore.. most Respectable Drilling contractors did away with them several years ago.

TAKE YOUR LIGHTS OFF TRUCK AND CLEAN THEM

Enter the steps to make your recipe:


TAKE TAIL LIGHTS OFF TRUCK
CLEAN WITH WINDEX OR SOAP AND WATER
SCUFF WITH 0000 STEELWOOL
USE GLOSS BLACK ENGINE ENAMLE FROM DUPLI-COLOR
HOLD ABOUT TWO FEET AWAY, LIGHTLY DUST TAIL LIGHTS TO THE DARKNESS YOU LIKE LET DRY
SAND WITH THE STEALWOOL TO MAKE SMOOTH AGAIN
APPLY ENGINE ENAMEL CLEAR COAT FROM DUPLI-COLOR, APPLY THICK
