yea but what did they do to beef up the front axle. I know they suck in the tundras now and add all that extra hp cant last. but the rear looks sweet undecided on it i like it

I think the truck looks pretty ugly personally, but that motor and tranny in a 2008 F450 would be one mean truck!

My 01 F350 with 200K on it will still spin the tires and pull anything I through behind it.
I think I'll just keep driving it. Hope they upgrade the frame rails too over the 1/2ton ones.

dont worry i will. But Nobody has ever seen this new tundra yet. And from what i know my uncles 08 tundra is the biggest hunk of crap i have ever seen. 2 tranny replacements, front diff rebuild, blown gasket??? he never has never took it offroading and has never towed anything. He is a caretaker at a 1800s cemetery and all he ever does is haul shovels and dirt.

And for all of you saying the money goes over there anyway, im in ap economics (college level course) we have not paid a debt to an Asian country since 911. And guess what were probably not going to. We stop buying there garbage there country will crumble. Besides all of there stuff is designed here anyway. Id rather have americans working in our factories and Americans getting rich fly billion dollar jets then seeing it go to the Asians... No matter how bad we Americans are spending it.

besides if this goes down, all the American manufactures will be scrambling to make a motor with that much displacement. There has never been a good truck to come from there yet. If this one makes a turnaround my opinion could change. And it will most likely be built here.

Well I hate to bust ya'll's bubbles but if I'm not mistaken, Toyota dropped this concept truck last year when diesel was through the roof. I'd like to see it in a SRW setup and i'd be tickled to death to see another inline six turbo diesel on the market. HOPEFULLY that would inspire Ford and Chevy to get on the wagon. I've always been a Ford man and if I could get a Ford with an inline turbo diesel I'd send my Dodge out the door in a hurry.

That truck was purely a concept to gauge public reaction. With surging oil prices and a faltering economy I'll bet that the idea has been all but scrapped.

And of COURSE they beefed up the frame rails- we're talking 24,000lbs GCVW+ vs what, like 15,000 if that for the half ton Tundra? This is a full blown dually.
