I worked for a detail shop and picked up on a lot of little tricks. Steel wool seems to take just about stains off of glass.

Make you some home made lemon ade. Don't add sugar until you put it into a glass. Pour some of the lemon ade from the pitcher into a squirt bottle. Add some salt and vineger. Shake well. Spray on glass and wipe with coffee filters.(Paper type) Works very well. IF the spots are still stubborn, use some Diet/regular Coka-Cola. Rub the coke in then wipe clean with filters and use some bottled water, or filtered water to get rid of the stickyness. Works well on tint on the inside as well. Then have some lemon ade, Mark.

try fine or medium steel wool. It will not scratch the glass but should remove the spot.
