ill video the truck running and revving tomorrow and see what you think about how it sounds. and upload your pictures to photobucket, then copy and past the IMG code to here. makes it really big so you can see detail

and yea im not the best. i cant seem to find 3rd gear. you ever have that problem when you first got yours? i can find it sitting still, but i always go 2nd to 5th and it sounds like its hurting the truck. im afraid im going to mess it up. 2nd to 5th wont stall it though, i dont understand why

yea my kelly safaris are 285/75's they look great i think!

Well my truck is an Auto, but Ive hoped in and drove my buddies 5 and 6 speed rigs when needed I dont have a hard time finding the gears, they are really close just gotta get the confidence in driving it, going from 2 to 5 wont kill the truck but lugs it, and explains the black spot behind the exhaust. youll get it... I learned on a 68 Dodge 650 that truck is a grind em till you find em tranny... my buddies skip gears only for the smoke But I wanted a standard but this truck was cheap enough that I compromised dont regret it at all either... Except missing the shifting..

it lugs it so bad that it goes completely quiet then gains power all at once and yea it smokes when i do that. i just cant seem to hit 3rd gear very much.. im afraid im going to burn up my clutch or something and sometimes i hear grinding noises when im pulling out i think im doing something wrong. ill learn it soon enough though i guess. i just hope i dont hurt the tranny or the clutch

You'll figure it out the six speed have a tight gear pattern just like most mustangs I've drove.

yea i think im putting too much emphasis on the 2nd to 3rd. im intentionally trying to push it up, to the right a little, then up again to hit 3rd. i dont think i need to push it right any at all. i think itll slide right on up there. im gonna be driving it around some more tomorrow anyways

Yah just shift up to neutral then up an right a tad. Go to an empty parking lot and practice then wen you get the basics down go on some of them back roads y'all got and oratice downshifting going through a turn shifting and just rolling into the throttle and find a hill with a stop sign and practice starting from a stop on a hill. That always scared me until I drove more and more.

The nice thing about diesel you hardly need to gove it throttle to get them to move, but ya, fiqure out how to get goin while pointing up hill I usually hold the brake till The clutch starts to grab and the move my foot over to the throttle and let the clutch out all the way...

Sweet it works !!!

But ya when you got to mover over to 3rd you barley have to let it move, What i use to do as a kid was sit in the pickup and shift wile making engine noises, thats always taught me how to find all the gears...

once i get $300 to pay the sales tax and everything ill be able to drive it somewhere.. as of right now i can only drive it up and down my holler .. but my driveways a hill ive been practicing on that some. i tried downshifting from 5th to 4th and accidently hit 2nd and the tires locked up. that made me pucker a little bit

yep you got it! see gives it much more detail
