Total cost of the job was $11,300
This included interior insulation, wiring, concrete, wood frame, all metal covering and trim, doors
I installed a Reznor 20' tube heater that is fantastic and also a couple garage door operators
the finished product, as you can see I already bombed it by adding a 12' leantwo on the side...place for hottub and lawn care stuff.

and now he a beautiful eye sore on his property.....
from the outside of your shop no one would ever know it was a pole barn.....
that "Reznor 20' tube heater" sounds great!!!
had you considered putting in an oil changing pit?
what are your thoughts on floor drains?

I have always wanted a pit.....I have built a few when I was in biz and they are definatly nice fer sure
floor drains are good if you want to wash in there and stuff..............if ya do one just run the underground piping outside of the building then give it a big gravel basin to drain into................do this all under whatever yer frost line is in yer area and dont put it where you drive cuz that frost line there goes way deep

In soil, the frost line or freezing depth is the level down to which the soil will normally freeze each winter in a given area. The depth this reaches depends on three factors, the length of the period below freezing (two months of −5 °C freezes deeper than a month of −5 °C), how much below freezing the temperature is (a month of −10 °C freezes deeper than a month of −5 °C), and the amount of snow cover (snow insulates the ground from the effect of the cold. Thus, drier areas with less snow are more prone to deeper soil freezing).
Building codes must take this into account, as foundations must be dug down to or below this point. Failure to do so will cause frost heaving to dislodge the building at least slightly, causing damage which may become a serious threat to the building's structural integrity.
