I have a new favourite, called "Scrubs". Don't know if it is known or available on the US-market.
It's a bucket containing 75 paper towels with a surface plastic net applicated on the towels and wetted with a cleaning agent.
That stuff is awesome, no matter how dirty the hands are, your hands are clean!
I tested: grease, oil, skydrol, monsanto, rust.
Your hands are clean, also in the hard to clean areas like your knuckles or fingernails.
I paid about 30bucks for the bucket, which is expensive, but I use it most for the real ugly things when you can't wear gloves.

Orange leaves the hand clean, but very dry.

I've always liked GoJo and Fast Orange. I know our diesel mechanic at the family construction company just uses 3M Brake Cleaner, always has for as long as i've known him. My cousin who does body work, picked up hand cleaner stuff in a tube at NAPA i think. This stuff SUPER THICK and it even takes paint off of your skin in one use. Can't remember what it was called though.
