Nordskog Fuel Pressure Gauge

Nordskog Fuel Pressure Gauge
Does anyone have a Nordskog 0-16# fuel pressure gauge? I have one that I have had on for about 3 years and it has worked flawlessly.
Last November it told me that my FP quit, so I am grateful for that.
However, today, I noticed it a 3#, then down to 0#. Of course I was concerned about it and I am glad I was pulling into my brother's drive. I changed the filter and the screen between the tank and pump just to be sure. I just changed the filter about 2 months ago and the previous one was in there for about a year, still with good flow.
Also, I applied power to the gauge and it shuts off, or shows 20# so I know it is reading from the sender wire.
SO....I checked the sender and it showed 4.5V whether the truck was running or not, but with key on.
I am not an expert on senders, but I would think that it should not send equal volts? I guess it would if the pressure was the same, but with the engine off it should read a little less i would think.
Any ideas?

I have a Nordskog gauge. My sending unit went bad. Give Nordskog a call (714-991-9999) and they can give you the run down on testing to see if gauge is bad. You need a resister, I don't recall the size. If the gauge is bad they should have a lifetime warranty. They are good people to deal with and will tell you how to check the gauge.

I did call them today and told me how to test the gauge.
You need a 100 ohm resistor (wattage does not matter). You connect it to the sender wire (wire to gauge) and ground the other end of the resistor. The gauge should read 9#. My gauge did read 9# so the gauge is good.
The sender is a standard 240-30 ohm sender (0-16#). Nordskog will not have any in stock for 10-14 days so I am trying to find one locally.
I am in Calgary right now, so if anyone knows of a shop that might carry senders, please let me know.
Thanks!

The original sender that came with my gauge looks like a
Stewart-Warner sender. The replacement that Nordskog sent looks like a Westach sender.I don't know if they will interchange. I dont't know what is available in Canada. NAPA carries S-W. FWIW, the sender that looks like a Westach sender on mine went out. I am back to the original that looks like a S-W. I am going to try to find a S-W sender and try it to see if it works.
