My bud is looking to get one like this he has a 99 6 speed electric shift that has crapped out. Will this unit work for him?

 

Depends.. Are you referring to a Dodge Ram or a Ford? This unit is off a Ford, here is another one I have for sale, which is the same thing but electronic shift: https://www.dieselbombers.com/sale/9...nsfercase.html. If your buddy has a Dodge Ram, he can make either unit work, all he has to do is swap input shafts and it will bolt right up. Besides the input shafts, the only difference between a Ford and Dodge model is the end Yoke. Dodge uses a Slip Yoke, where as Ford uses a Fanged Yoke as pictured above. BUT all parts are interchangeable between Ford and Dodge, so he can make a hybrid as the parts he needs can be swapped within each other.
