TV8511 turbo
I have a new Garrett TV8511 turbo. It's off of a Detroit 8v92. I got in trade for some work I did and have zero use for this thing. It's HUGE, weighs in at around 70lbs with the "Y"-flange. I'd like $300obo or I might consider a trade. I'd be interested in a set of stock Jeep XJ aluminum wagon-spoke wheels or the later 5-star wheels, a good 350 crankshaft, or maybe something else I'd at least listen to the offer. I'd really like to get this thing off my workbench shelf.
As to the HP this thing is good for, I don't know. I've only done minor research on it. I know it was used mainly on 8v92t engines. I found on a racing site that for a gas motor to use it you need at least 454cid in a "race prepped" engine or 500+ in a street-type engine. I know that doesn't tell you a damn thing though.
The cold side is an A/R .81 and is roughly 116.5mm on the inside. The Hot side is an A/R 1.23 and is roughly 111mm ID.
I started thinking I could compound it on my pickup but then remembered I'm no where near the required fueling for that freakin monster
Bump for ya though, I'm pretty sure someone's got the necessities for it
