3.0 Pro Stock Pulling truck- FS/FT!!
I dont really want to get rid of it but i have no time for pulling anymore and need to let someone else enjoy this truck. To tell you a little bit about it, it is a 1996 dodge ram 2500 frame and cab, standard cab long bed. I bought the truck to make this puller, and i started from the frame up. I completly tore this truck apart and built it the way i wanted it. So i will give you some of the things that makes this great puller.
1996 ram 2500
powder coated frame-dark silver.
rockwell f-106 axle in the rear, completely welded to the frame, with welded carier and thrust bolt installed. 6.20 gears.
dana60 front with locker and 6.17 gears and 35 spline axles.
pro fab drop box with 2 sets of gears
guted interior with hand throttle and all the saftey switches.
corsa datalogger with intellidash.
6k tack mounted on sheetmetal dash.
3-way fuel dump valve
2-way air shut off
nv4500 tranny with dual disk slipper clutch-only 4 hooks on it, and bellhousing blanket.
schied 13mm pulling pump with rsv gov.
schied built short block with shot peened and heat treated rods, 12.5/1 compression pistons, 14mm head studs and main studs, scheids block stiffner. clipped main bearings. 5x22 injectors, .120 ss lines. gear driven fuel pump with all ss braided lines. billet front cover and side cover. Roller rockers. Fully ported head with intake penulum cut off and schieds individual runner intake mounted instead. valves have hd beehive springs with titanium keepers and locks. fluiid dampner. schieds s400 3.0 charger with 4 hooks of freshning up. sure i am missing some stuff on the motor but that is the majority. I did have the motor dynoed at scheid after i built it and am pretty sure i still have the dyno papers.
Dual rear wheels with interco sts tires.
Fronts are mickey tompson classic 2's with :doh: i cant remenber what they are called but they are bias ply tires, but i do have the 2 sts also that i will throw in.
Bed is covered with a toneau cover.
truck is painted sunburst orane with some air brushing on the hood and tailgate.
Rear bumper was replaced with a roll pan
Has sled stops welded to frame that stick out through the roll pan.
Custom adjustable hitch.
Hood stack.
5gal aluminum fuel tank mounted behind the weight box i made for the truck, the dual cat batteries are also mounted behind the weight box bellow the fuel tank.
Dual electric fans.
Block is filled but still run water through the head.
13mm pump is self contained oil, i run amsoil in it and have changed it after every 5 pulls, truck has about 12-13 hooks on it.
I run vavoline racing 20w50 in the motor and have changed it every 3-5 hooks. I built the whole truck and put alot of money in the truck, no short cuts, have all recipts to prove it. I am sure i am missing lots of things but thats what i am comming up with for now.
