It's a dual filter head system that holds both the full flow and bypass filters (both spin on type). The system comes with the filter relocation head (for Cummins - currently on a 2nd gen 12V), hoses, and filter head - NO FILTERS.

I had it mounted behind the front bumper on the lower rad support for easy access for filter changes, the filter head also has a petcock for taking oil samples if you do that type of thing - makes grabbing a sample to send in a really low mess operation.

I went with this because of the spin on filters - I had looked at the cartridge type bypass systems and thought man I bet those things are messy to deal with, plus this also relocated the normal oil filter out away from the engine for easier changes - that in it's self is worth it to me.

Yes, the filter adapter is the same on the 6.7L as both take the same oil filter.
