If you have a good timing box they will be ok for towing, i towed a few times with them and had only to watch the gauge on long pulls.

Not cetain about EGT. I imagine though you should be pretty safe. If you try real hard you can probably hit 1200*. With an intake an exhaust I wouldn't even worry about it.

Timing boxes add..umm.. timing. And usually little else. These boxes don't wire tap the vp44 and usually only give you a 50-70 hp gain. Like an Edge EZ.

On my other 01 Cummins with 150hp Jammers and Edge Comp I could hit 1600 degrees easy with the stock HY Turbo.

cool thanks, I'm at about 300* now and when I make some boost I can hit 600* So even up to 1200* is safe as long as it's not a long period of time?

Sorry to thread jack but i get more interested each post

1350*pre turbo is, fine for a minute,1200*post turbo.
you can run 1200* pre turbo all day.
as long as you have a EGT gauge and watch it when you are towing you'll do fine.

yep I believe cummins says Max Working limit (as in it will run all day there) is 1250 PRE-turbo. From your #'s it sounds like your probe is Post-turbo? In that case you'll want to add about 400* to your readings. The turbo will hold up fine if you make short dashes above that but you don't want to stay there for more than 30 secs or so.

With my 100hp injectors and EDGE EZ I could hit 1200 empty if I floored it. That was with an intake and exhaust. You'll probably be pretty close to that with those injectors alone. maybe a little higher. With a load you might have to watch your EGT gauge a little. But as long as your not flooring it up long grades you should be fine.

But I would recommend an intake and exhaust at least if your going to run the stage 5's
