I love thoughs trucks, just sold the one I had. 1979 f-250 camper special, I had about 15,000 in it. Just needed a paint job. It to was my daily driver for years until I joined the diesel generation in 1988, That 390 FE block was the best Ford ever made, should never have dropped it. 352, 360, 390, 428 longer stroke that would actually build some torque. Sold mine because it just sat around the place fallin apart, every time I would start it somethin else would have to be repaired. A buddy of mine made it into a welding truck so it's still earning it's keep.

It's a great truck, I just really want a diesel to play on. I found me a good ole 12v I just need to get this old girl out of my driveway.

I love the FE series motors, if I was to do it again I would have a fully built 428 for sure. I'll never own a ford pickup without a FE series motor. Most people think the are gutless anchors, and go for the 385 series (mostly 460's) but not me! She gets 10-12mpg and makes 390hp and 410tq, better mileage to power ratio then the 460 boys.

You have no Idea how bad I want that truck. I just wish it was in my budget. I have had 3 79' F250 reg cab 4x4's all 4spd 400's though. They dont even come close to building trucks like that anymore. Good luck in the sale. I will definetly have another 79' one day.
