Default Looking for a so vp-44

Hello, I am new here, I have a 2001 dodge 3500 dually with automatic tranny. Already have an airdog 150 installed, it was 108 yesterday, and set a 216 trouble code. If any one has a pump for sale-please let me know. Looking for new, or rebuilt- preferably one with a warranty. Thank you in advance for any help I get.

Make sure your fuel pressure is good and that filters are not clogged. Also if you are running 2 stroke oil that can cause the advance piston to stick creating a timing failure. If it still runs put some diesel fuel cleaner in it and run i. see if it is able to unstick the advance piston, power service, diesel clean etc. Its a long shot, but its cheap and you run a lower risk of contaminating a new pump if that is your problem.

Call in for more help if you need it.

Default Thanks for all the help

Thank you for the help, I am going to try running diesel cleaner and 2 stroke oil as JKIDD has informed me. I will try it, if it does not work I will post here and purchase a new ipump.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I changed my fuel filter and water seperator (air dog), cleared the code, and fueled up adding the power service cleaner as per JKIDD- so far 150 miles and no C.E.L. as of yet. Thanks again for price quotes and help- I will certianly post back if troubles reoccur.

Hi,

do not run 2 stroke. we have heard that the formulation has changed and that it gums up internals. this was not true a few years ago. use a commercial fuel additive.

if you want some go fast parts you may have funds for it now.
