Default Need help from the 6.0 brethren

I have a buddy who is looking to get his first diesel, he is far handier with a wrench than I am and he has his eye on a 2005 6.0 3/4 ton FX4 CC, 87k miles. This thing is clean,....... extra clean. He can get it for $20,500. opinions?

Depends what's done to it. Best starting point would be get the vin and go to a Ford dealership and get the Oasis report pulled. It's the report of all the warranty work done. Should tell you if it's had issues in the past or not.

Depending on what's done and the condition, and location as well, that price could be fair or not, hard to say. What cab/box configuration is it?

yea, I forgot about that, I'll tell him to get an Oasis report. It's a crew cab in Texas, 1 owner and it is very, very clean with no mods. Ranch hand bumpers, custom wheels, and 80% BFG A/T's. this is a great truck, I think the thing that's holding it up is it is a private luxury car dealership that doesn't sell a lot of trucks.

unless its low miles and has a egr delete at very least its a high price. But if it has egr delete and head studs then its a great price.
