get an oasis report on both of them, find out the mods, miles, ect.. and get back with us
Here is what I am looking at. 2005 Ford F 350 crew cab, XLT, 27k miles, super clean, no mods, clean Oasis, nothing on it. Interior looks almost new. 1 owner. Asking $20k. Other truck. Very clean 2006 F350 crew cab Lariat, no mods, Oasis report shows replaced fuel pump in 06 and some work done on the turbocharger back in 09, but that's it. Very clean 2 owner truck. $25.5 for it. 67k miles. Both are 4x4. The 2006 is FX4. It is a nicer truck, more amenities.
On a side note: wasn't model year 2007 the year that the government started regulating diesels and making them do some new things to be "cleaner"? I have had a couple of people tell me to look at 2006 or older to avoid having to mess with that, plus they get better gas mileage. Is that right?

Definitely look at the 7.3 power strokes. I have a buddy that has a 6.0 power stroke and has had a bunch of issues with it. Good truck don't get me wrong, but the 7.3 is the powerhouse you want.
