Pulling the silencer ring does not increase power in any way

you can go for nitrous oxide system that will increase the horse power but it can cause replacement of some internal engines parts.Apart from that you can also follow certain steps that are cheap and simple and will result in horse power incrementation.such as
1 clean all the junk parts
2 clean the engine
3 increase the size of your spark plug
4 buy a high flow converter or a turbo muffler or both
5 get a good air filter
6 rip off the air silencers
this will surely be benificial just try it.

1 not quite sure what that means
2 I clean my engine all the time, never noticed any power increase
3 spark plugs! Realy!?
4 cut the converter and muffler off diesels don't need back pressure turbo gives it plenty
5 I agree
6 not benificiall for power only sound, plus I think the chevy doesn't have one anyways, could be wrong though

We don't get a converter but there is a soot trap that looks like one. I would cut it off they fill up with crap and choke them down.

There isn't a ton you can do with a 6.5 to get alot of power but you can get some power out of them. Put 4" exhaust on it, have the ecm re flashed, and put water injection on it, If you go turning them up you should also look at a fluid damper, head studs, and possibly main studs.
