Looking at 94 Dodge 3/4 Cummins
I've been needing a good work truck for a while, found a '94 3/4 Dodge Cummins for sale. Called and asked a few questions, only one concerns me. Asked about oil/fuel filter changes, records. Said he changed his own oil, but didn't mention fuel filter. Gut tells me to just walk away, not even drive the 45 minutes to look at the truck. Truck has 300K on it, which wouldn't concern me as much if I was pretty sure he'd been changing out the fuel filter every 10k or so. Already know it's going to need a new throttle sensor, no big deal there. Should I go with my gut? Go have a look and see? Any advice is appreciated, been almost 10 years since I've owned a diesel (regret ever selling my Chevy one ton).
We are at $2500 on price, over the phone, down from $2800. Pretty sure price can/will drop on site. NADA and KBB are pretty close on price, around $2700.
