2006 powerstroke
Well, my first post. Hello yall.
Well, I've been in the market for a truck for about 3 months, I've settled on buying a 2006 f250 Amarillo edition. I'll get it in 8 weeks when the current owner gets his 2011 Lariot in. It's gonna be a long 8 weeks .
I know the issues with these motors, What about the rest of the truck? Is everything else pretty solid?

I would say that aside from the motor, everything else is solid on your Ford. Awesome auto tranny behind that engine, and good bodies and interiors. Congrats on the purchase

Oh and btw, check into this website. If you're not going to do the EGR and stud stuff right now, I would recommend you look into PowerStrokeHelp
POWERSTROKEHELP.COM - The Information Source for Ford Power Stroke Diesel Owners & Mechanics and Home of EDAS® "Engine Damage Avoidance System" for Powerstroke Diesel Trucks
and the EDAS product they offer.
Purchase EDAS® "Engine Damage Avoidance System" For Powerstroke Diesel Powered Trucks
I watch a lot of this guys vids and he knows what hes talkin about. This product is only $250, takes about 15-30 mins to install, and notifies you if your cooling system starts to pressurize.
