im looking at the 2006 5.9l l6 dir turbo engine and I'm wondering if its the HO engine or something else. Also, is it a good engine? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

All 06 cummins are the high output auto or manual. 325hp 610tq.
Is it a good engine?? Sure has been for me 91K+ and no problums so far.

 

Thanks for the info. I've heard great things about the 5.9l, all the modifications that you can do to it. I just don't know if I will do a lot of that. I'm also thinking about going with the 2008 6.7l. Is there such a thing as a perfect engine? I just want a reliable engine that I don't have to put a ton of money in. Thanks again for your input.
