Default Idle surges on a 2002 Chevy 6.5

I am hoping to buy a 2002 Chevy Express with a 6.5 with 156,000 miles on it. I am hesitating because it has a problem when it is warming up. The idle surges up and down until it is warm. I am not aware if it does this during the course of the days driving. The garage cannot find anything wrong but my guess there is that because it stops when it is warmed up from driving there. I am not sure if it was ever left overnight so they could start it cold.
Has anyone ever encountered this problem or heard of anyone else with this problem?
Other than that, the van seems good. It is serviced every 3000 miles.
Any help or suggestions will be a big help

I found what the problem may be by internet searching. The PMD. The remote mount solves the problem. The good thing is, the van was sold before I got back to the owner (my boss) so the new owner will have to find out the solution.
The next vehocle he put up was a 2001 Express with a 6.5 that runs smooth, had the same 3,000 mile service and will be mine as soon as the money changes hands.
I will stick around here. This site (you guy's) are KOOL
