Default 5.9 thinking of going 6.7

My father law has a 03 5.9 ho cummins with 120,000 miles on it it is all stock. He is wanting to trade it off for a new 6.7. Now I don't know a whole lot about the cummins but I know the 5.9 is a very good engine with performance upgrades through the roof and its not loaded up with pollution crap . My thoughts and from what I have read I would stay with the 5.9 and do some upgrades to it because the 6.7 will not be able to be modified in any way that would void the warranty. I don't know enough about the 5.9 or the 6.7 to know if I am right in my thinking. Any input into the which is better would be appreciated.

To tell you the truth it all depends in what he wants out of it. Personally I would stay with the 5.9 but thats just because I like to modify things. If he is happy with just having a nice reliable stock truck I would say go for it the 6.7 is probably a nicer ride for that.

You also can modify the 6.7L Cummins to any level your money allows you to go.

I do enjoy both of my RAMs. The 6.7L has more potential.

Ya I was gonna say a friggen tuner on the 6.7 is worth like 500+hp and over a thousand pounds of torque!!

Granted a tuner prolly costs 500-1k$ but still.

Oh and on a sidenote, fayetteville sucks. I got out and moved back home and that was the wisest choice I've made: getting out of that shithole fort bragg/fayetteville nc area. Did you know there is like a 30-something % unemployment rate there and there are 281 sex offenders in fayetteville? Did you know the average income is only $19,000? Thats outrageous dude.

Oh ya, and there are 10,000+ cases of violent crimes there per year. Ouch.
