Hi!. There is a 94 Blazer that I am interested in. I am assuming these have the the 6.5 diesels.

This is an auto tranny. Are there sites of FAQs about these SUVs?

That would be the 6.5 last I heard they stopped the 6.2 around 92 or 93. If you are considering do some investigation, how many miles on injection pump, on injectors, has the PMD been relocated. The PMD is the weak spot on this engine, it fails due to heat and its location. If it's been relocated it will last longer. Good Luck!!

 

ya My dad had a 94 blazer with a 6.5 it was the best thing that he's ever had. but then he turned stupid and bought a gas tahoe. big ol pos.

 

Yes it's a 6.5 turbo. Just called the owner. When I asked him about mods, the only thing he said that has been changed was the PMD, with a heat sink. It has 150K miles and was pulled behind a motor home a lot.

I am a manual tranny kind of guy but my German mechanic tells me that even though he swears by German cars, he says that GM auto transmissions are the best. So this may be a nice rig to have. The price is really good,
