Default Help

Recently I've bought my very first diesel,I've been wanting a diesel for a long time, a 2002 dodge 4x4 quad cab and an automatic. This will also be my first dodge and my first auto, I've always owned Chevys with manuals. Now my dodge has almost 144,000 miles on the ticker and it is higher than what I prefer but I got a good deal on it. I was wondering if someone might know why I'm leaking so much oil. It seems to leakin from the front of the motor and it may be the oil pan or worse yet the front main seal. I lose about a quart every 2-3 days. If it is the front main can it be repaired by dropping the pan or do I have to pull out that big ol cummins? Any advise would be great, I can't work on it anytime soon cause I'm currently working in Iraq and I won't be home for a few more months. Thanx, Cory

I havn't noticed any smoke at all either from the motor or exhaust and it seems to be running fine except for the leak. It also seems to leak even when the truck isn't running and sitting overnight. I plan on installing a fass lift pump the next time I'm home and I'm also installing a pair of OX u-joints for the front axle because the truck vibrates badly above 45 mph.
