I can't make up my mind!!
I'm planning on buying a new truck within the next few months. But I can't decide what I want to get! There are so many different combinations of engines and their own problems. I can't wrap my brain around it all. It literally hurts haha.
I'm very very familiar with Ford diesels. And I'm not sure I want one. I'm in a Ford family, but I know how unbelievably picky they can be. Not to say they ALL are, I just know as a whole, they're very ehh. It's sad honestly..
Anyways, my peak limit will be about $28k. I'm looking for something to replace my exploder as my new daily, and tow my cobra to and from the track on the weekends, and also across country to other tracks and venues. So it'll be a multi tasker. I would like to get the newest truck I can get, with the most options. I know it sounds really picky, but if the newest I can get with leather and nav is an 08, then so be it haha.
MPG is kind of a big deal, but kind of not too. I have weeks where I drive up to 600 miles, and weeks where I drive 60 miles, and everything in between.
I can't keep anything stock. I just, cant. I'm a gear head. But I'm not looking to do massive upgrades, just the simple intake, tuner and exhaust deal. So take that in account too please.
Any insight and personal opinions are appreciated and welcomed. If you've owned more than one type of truck, even better. I'd like to hear it all. Thanks in advance!

first off I love my old 12v, ill never sell that. But of course we need a few more luxuries to DD at somepoint. I have an 08 ram 3500 laramie with all the options. very comfy, 6.7 auto is a nice tourquey combo. love the exhaust brake too. i have 295k on that one and other than putting in a new trans its perfect. runs perfect and not a drip of oil anywhere. love the 6.7 in that. just picked up a 2011 ram 4500 slt crew cab 6 speed manual so im going to sell the 3500. slt is nice but no leather. 6.7 is a great runner but mpg sucks stock. need intake and exhaust and econ tune to get better than 14mpg IMO.
