I just bought a 2006 F250, crew with 93k miles. I am also new to diesel and new to this site. Super excited to be finally driving a diesel ! But I have a few concerns.

I plan to do a EGR delete, because I don't have anything to tow.
I also plan on putting an external oil filtration system (down to 1 micron).
I want to take good care of this truck, because I don't have the money to fix it, if it breaks!

Any other preventative maintenance tips ?

Im really concerned about increasing MPG. Currently at 68, im around 17-18MPG.

I hear putting a chip in will help, but I don't want to run the risk of tearing something up.
