I'm looking at two diesel trucks. One is a 08 cummins and the other is a 06 lly duramax. I am not to familiar with either so I'm not sure which is the better choice. They both pretty have the same miles and options. I am wondering which is the best for towing and doing some modifications too. I would like to be pushing 500 whp and still have reliability.

 

If you work on your own truck, I would think the cummins
would be easy,er to work on , more room.
With lly, going over 500 hp you will need to upgrade bottom
end.
