New guy on here.

I'm looking into buying my first diesel truck and wanted to get the opinions of actual owners of them.

I'm looking at either a 98-03 Ford 7.3 Powerstroke or a 98-04 Dodge Cummins.

I'm not a fan of the Duramax or Chevy/GMC diesels. Have had friends that had nothing but problems with their Duramax's.

Any kind of input is helpful as I'm probably not going to buy for awhile.

I have owned 8 ford diesel powered pick ups...My 1st truck was a 7.3 and it was a great truck never an engine problem and I hammered that truck constantly...The next 7 were disastrous none of which were 7.3s. I purchased my first Dodge Cummins a few year ago and will never go back to Ford again...Unless they start putting Cats,Detroits on Manns in there trucks...Save yourself a lot of aggravation my man buy a Cummins and be done with it...
