Default Deciding on the Big 3??

Okay guys I'm new here and i own a chevy gasser (so im more about the bowtie) but looking to upgrade and I have done a lil bit of research on diesels. Duramax's mostly and some what on powerstrokes. Not so much on cummins besides reading on other forums bashing them. I'm looking to buy one of those three. I do a lot of daily driving and during the summer I'm on custom harvesting crew so i pull header trailers, fuel trailers and such. I know that the LBZ is a great motor and not as much problems. One of my bosses has two 6.0 powerstrokes and liked them but know of the horror stories of them. Not too sure on the cummins but my mom had a 2007 cummins and i think a 5.9 and the seats always hurt my back from going to McKinney,Tx from my hometown (6 hours there and 6 hours back) every other weekend and from what i read here i guess the 6.7 aren't the best and to get a 5.9? I just want to make a good choice and to make sure it lasts awhile. I plan to do some moderate upgrades. Sorry for the long story, but like i said i just want some good info to help me make a choice. Looking for either a 05-07 Duramax, 05-07 Cummins or an 05-08 powerstroke. Thanks for looking.

I would get the cummins man. I agree the seats aren't as nice even though it doesn't bother me. Seat swaps are not a big deal through. Type in truck seat swap on Google and you will get a ton of results and ideas. Ford has the best seats as far as I'm concerned. Junk yards are full of them. The Cummins will go farthest as far as engine life and durability goes. I would get an 03 dodge diesel if I were you. Same design, cheaper price tag due to age, much cheaper and simpler to work on than any other brand, and the parts are interchangeable from 03-09. Let us know how it goes!!
