Default 1990 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.8 Turbo Diesel EGT's & MPG

Hi. I have a 1990 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.8 turbo diesel 4d65-t with a td04-09b turbo and stock boost. What are my egt's please approx? And what is the safe egt number for this engine? And how many mpg should I get as standard?

Thank's in advance

the easiest way to find out your egt's is to add an egt sensor so you know how much you are getting for sure.

sounds like you should get good mpg with that little car with a diesel motor, what kind of mpg are you seein now?

You should try and see if you can get an egt gauge and boost gauge if you havent already gotten one, and hell maybe an airdog/fass they're good for more power and extends the life of your filters like crazy

Pyros/EGT gauges are pretty standard and all you have to do is drill and NPT tap your ext manifold and run the thremocouple

i think it's perty much a standard number with diesels.... 1200* up to that is safe for continuious ammounts of times. short spurts over that are ok too but for not very long. remember that anything over 1250 for longer than 10-15 seconds can melt the pistons......
