offroad unlimited makes a lift kit for 2500 chevys that lets you run 33's and its only about 100 bucks. It just reindexes the torsion bars. One of my friends has a 97 2500 6.5 and he just cranked up the torsion bars a little and he runs 285/75/16 mickey thompson's and it rides fine but hes only had it that way for about a year so I don't know what the long term wear would be on the ball joints

Cognito makes a good 2-3 inch front end lift check it out....

Those cognito arms only correct balljoint angle. They are shorter than your stock a-arms, So your alignment cams will be maxxed out to correct the camber setting. Also they allow the suspension to droop beyond the operating range of your c.v.'s, causing them to bind and break. If you notice, Cognito is recommending limit straps to fix this problem.
