I've seen a bunch of these run i Yellowstone in the winter, I also saw several broken down on the side of the road, with Mattracks failures of one type or another. I saw some others out there that seemed a bit more robust but that also are not as easy an install as the Mattracks.

as easy to install as a tire change. unbolt tire and bolt these on. the only thing if i remeber right was you cant go faster then 35mph. dont qoute me on that.

they do work great in snow and mud by what the videos show.
you missed a $0, I looked while I was in AK and a demo set for a 1/2Ton were $18,000
the disadvantages besides price are 40 mph max, and really hard on suspension/ axles.
just the rubber tracks are like $3K a piece!

there is a little more than just bolting them to the hubs, there is also a torque mount that has to be installed. once the mount is installed it is a simple bolt on.

You need to watch the state and if there DOT legal or not. There’s a farmer up the road form us that has a set on the back end of one of his farm trucks. He can’t get a state inspection sticker but with the cost of buying and keeping them in good repair why put miles on them to just drive around.

Every 18 months we slap a new set on and he told us the last set cost him $3,400 each. He only uses the truck when he thinks a wheeled truck will not get the job done. He’s also running a crazy mix in the differentials so he can run it in 4 wheel drive.

Default Mattracks

They work wonderful. Youd think theyd have to be wider for load displacement but heck they dont sink as bad as tires. I have cattle out in a remote north-west section of North Dakota. And its so hard to reach them with tires. Ive tried mud tires. Dont work. Got stuck. I discovered these and tried them for my 2011 Ford F450 6.7L PowerStroke Crew Cab, 8' box. They worked wonderfully. I never got stuck. 3' feet of snow=no problem. I reached them just fine.

But when it came time to replenish hay i found that my trailer would get stuck. They also make trailer tracks. I ordered those and put them on a regular 12' trailer. And put roughly 3,000Ibs of idiot bales(for yall who dont know what those are, they are the square, rectangular shape bales that way quite a bit). The tracks worked amazingly well. Went up a snowy hill. Started to spin but they dug in and just keep on trucking.

My conclusion is they work wonder full! Only problem is you cant go above 40mph. So be prepared to have a nascar pit crew on site to change all 4 tracks off and all 6 tires back on. But its not to big of a hassel when you have an air gun.

Hope my story helps you. Have a good one. Dont get stuck.
