Ok, they will ship to the US but the price tag is a little spendy. They emailed me this morning regarding a price quote:
Hi Brad,
The 4911 is acustom built FIA rally T3 truck which is also sold to special forces units, hence they star from $275K and are not Emissions or safety cert for US or Canada. I would suggest either Ural 4320 Scania or Sisu all are on my web prices for good condition, low mileage including est shipping cost to Eastern Canada $32K
Regards
Sean
$32k for shipping to Canada...WOW!
I dont think I can swing that kind of money...oh but if I had it I would have one by the weekend!!

If you really want a Kamaz and have the cash they build customs - since the 4911 is all custom anyway. So you can swap out the Russian diesel and go with Cummins. Cummins is not better but it is emissions certified in Canada and the USA. You can also get a 1984 frame with title for them to do the build with. That means you are importing a 25yo vehicle and that gets you out of US DOT and EPA requirements. Now all that said, unless you actually do run the Baja, there is nothing in USA or Canada that needs a Kamaz. It can all be done with a DAF, Unimog, Mann, or others that have used frames available for less than 25% of what a Kamaz will set you back. Lastly, the Kamaz is not the best Expedition RV design. See the intakes and exhaust location behind the cab. That is consuming valuable space for the RV, bikes or spares (you need 2 if you are really going where this truck is needed and doing it without a support vehicle - which the Russian Dakar teams always had - a 6x6). Man, Volvo and Unimog all make a better RV base. Kamaz is the standout for speed, flex, and all that, like a Ferrari 4x4 truck. If I was picking, I'd go Man, Daf or Volvo because they can run and carry. Unimog is too slow. Kamaz is too much a rabbit.
