SO I dont know much about theses yet but heres what I know about this one.

It has 110000 miles
It drives beautiful.
It came from beverly hills and is verry original it even has its first windsheld and still has the 1983 first aid kit.
paint is decent. but gold
interior is excelent and looks brand new.
it has a 3 thousand dollar veggie oil kit.
maitainace records since new.
tires are good.
cruise control.
AC but it was converted to 134a
it doesnt leak a drop of anything.
it gets 25mpg

THE BAD
It stinks like veggie oil
right rear window doesnt work
it seems to have a low idle and it wobles while you are stoped
its slow off the line

WHAT IT COMES WITH
A veggie oil processing station
snow tires and extra rims
and a chinese returant that provides oil once a week

PRICE $4750

Get the car and go back with diesel. Very stylish, engine bay looks clean and maintained.

Get the compression tested, it is a good indicator of the engine status. There should no more than 43psi or 3 bar difference between any cylinder.
Then you can make your descision.

They are only dumping their problem car on you because they don't want to mess with it any more and/or they killed the engine with that VO garbage.

With that VO kit, hacked up body and bad engine, the car is worth about $1000.
The body is original the engine has 110000 miles and the vo. Kit was professionally installed and looks orirginal so I don't understand why you say these things

Well I like the idea of being able to run VO because someday diesel will run out. but anyway I was wondering if I could just put diesel in the AUX tank in the back instead of VO

Sure, off course you can.
Diesel has a flame point of 80° C, thats around 175°F. Since no air or spark has acess to the fuel, there is no risk of ignition.

It is easy to run someone down with comments. I would like to see that 'zedd' diesel.
If he is able to comment like he did- his merc should be outstanding-what I'm really doubting.

I'd PM Mdub707 with any questions regarding wvo. He's a moderator on this site and apparently has a smooth operating wvo system. Check out the thread labeled simply, WVO in the alternative fuels/additives, etc. subforum.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Any discussion of wvo or wmo pretty quickly turns into a shouting match between believers and nonbelievers, that's why I recommend a private message.

Unless you are in love with veggie kits, I'd pass. You can buy a W124 for the same money and get 10x the car. Disclaimer: After owning several W123's, I became predjudiced against them. But seriously, a W124 E320/E420 will get ~20mpg in town and ~25mpg on the freeway, plus ABS, airbags, optional heated seats & traction control, better ride, better handling, double the power, half the noise, twice the smoothness. A W124 diesel in similar condition will cost a bit more, but still worth every penny. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

That said, the shaking at idle could be motor mounts (a pain to replace on W123's), and slow off the line is low fuel delivery off idle... an ALDA tweak might help, might not, turning up the full load should help but that's a bit more work. And, veggie is not kind to IP's... it doesn't ruin the motor, but over the long term it can gunk up the IP internals. Talk to some diesel Bosch IP shops if you want the real scoop from the people who repair them...
