03 gmc sonoma om617 swap with a sas
Whell this is what I do when a transmission goes out swap the motor in something diffrent I have an 83 Mercedes 300td I did some mods and got some power olny to have the trans die it was a sad day I came across a deal on a 03 gmc sonoma on bags for 400 bucks and sold the good 2.2 and 5 speed for 500...this project has made me money so far . Every thing else is buddies used parts except the 95 Cherokee I bought for the 5 speed. Now my question is what of the factory gmc harness do I need to keep does any one know can I make every thing work removing the computer? I plan to use all the stock sending units! Any way the sas is going to be done using a 44/9 in combo and a Cherokee long arm lift kit cuz it was cheap haha I'll post some pics soon

I did a cold air intake and a 3in exaust 20+psi for 6monts and still runs fine olny external pump tuning and mine would pull hard from a boosted launch. if the car had been about half the weight and had a 5 speed Im sue it woulda got 60mpg. I was getting 40 on the highway runnin 75. I'm sure I olny got 5 hp if that but have plans for more tuning and picked up a second om617 for 250 bucks complete...: ) also my motor ran better with some used trans fluid and or motor oil just pored in the fuel...

You sound like forced induction off the Benz board I know know damn whell what my car responded to and I know damn whell what it did now don't come in my thread and call me a liar and sry if you just got kicked in the nuts but I know what I'm doing more than you give credit for this isn't my first diesel or my first car I don't care what it's doing to the pump cuz I'm just that way I don't give a flying **** it's my junk if I wanna kill it I dam whell will

Dude you have no viable experience ivedone a lot of reading and you do nutting but cause issues you use to go by forced induction on STD now your on db stirrin trouble those guys build these things they know you stir up crap and **** ppl off when you show me a dyno sheet and a video of you running on the dyno I might think you know something when I get my truck done it will be mostly a trail rig I'll turn the pump up and drive it til I decide I need more motor then go v8 or bigger diesel now stop nockin in my thread with your crap and go pester a nubie to diesels that doesn't know crap and he will think your a god but me I know what I'm plain with and if you wanna hear the best part I'm gonna use propane like nitrous kaboom if I want
