Two Cummins 12-valves
Greets, I just joined.
I have two low-time 5.9L 12-valves in need of some attention (ram:44966271 & firepump:45654340) and I'd like to clear the following questions off my list:
1
What is the cam lift on the 175hp Dodge Ram model and on the firepump 6BTA5.9-F1? I can't find this in the specs
2
The torque/hp power curve for each, again not found in the specs. For the firepump driver I especially need the hp & the rpm at peak torque as that's the regime where I want to chose a hydraulic pump for it.
3
Hundreds of different 4 and 6-holers use the Lucas CAV pump, so does my cat-426, but exactly which part of a Lucas CAV pump is specific for the engine it's used on?
4
I can't find any rebuild kits for the above injection pump with the springs in additiion to the seals and gaskets.
5
What advance degrees do the different timing letter marks represent. This engine seems to be timed for 2100rpm only and I might want o retard the timing a bit for more acceptable idling and starting.
Thanks for any hints
