Default Cool place to grow up.

Hey, I grew up down there. My Dad was a Panama Canal Pilot. That was his job, taking the ships through the canal. Lived there from 1976 to 1987. I followed in his footsteps and became a Merchant Marine Engineer. I hold a USCG Unlimited Chief Engineer's License for Motor (Diesel), Steam and Gas Turbine. I've been inside cylinders so large you could fit 3 grown men inside.

It is a nice ride though there that is for sure... I did enjoy my time down there with the Army riding through the locks and catching the Peacock Bass...
