Why isn't it intercooled?

I've always wanted to stick a Duramax into a 3rd gen Camaro...

In all honesty the intercooler isnt needed. It takes up space and it is another place to have a boost leak or weak link. And when ur only talkin maybe 100* difference in EGTs especially with this engine, it wasnt worth it.

Like Nick said. Space is very limited. For the cost of an intercooler that would hold the boost I want to run eventually, and the power added by said intercooler, isn't worth it. I can gain far more by water/meth injection and or Nitrous. And both of those will also cool the charge air well enough plus boost power.
