Default emission system removal

ok here is a dumb question bear with me im just learning this stuff. but when you do a dpf delete or an egr delete and run a straight pipe stacks etc how do you pass your states safety and emission inspection. also i feel really dumb asking but what is an egr and a dpf. bear with me im just learning diesels

Well depends, do you live in a state where you get it inspected? If so your kind of out of luck.

About how to pass , I guess you might have to get your state regulations
I have both removed, IMHO there is better ways to reduce emissions
