Wow, surprisingly cheaper than a set of gauges.. The majority of what it shows is pointless, but it does have on board data logging that you can uplaod to a PC.. thats a nice feature.

I ordered the egt probe with mine. i found where i can watch it, just cant find the alert for it.
I have EGT, Rail pres, boost, intake air temp, load and, instant hp on my screen 1, and all the tranny data on screen 2.
got the dash hawk and probe for right about $400
I had the GM one on my screen, but it stayed at 1800* never moved? does that redaing come from the dpf?
Other thing is odd, my MPG reading are backwards, when im slowing down it goes down and when i mash on it they skyrocket up?

The dashhawk seems like good money invested.. a decent set of gauges and apillar mount runs almost $400.. and this dashhawk shows more than 3 things.. very nice.. It looks to be about the same size as the Edge Atitude Monitor.. I wonder .. does it fit in the Edge Apillar mount?

It will go right in it. The Dashhawk and the Edge Insite are the same exact size.

Dont know what the 1800 is. Your EGT 1 & 2 are before and after the DPF. Temps are 400 to 600 normal; 1100 to 1200 in regen. The MPG thing sounds ok to me. You will have to drill the exhaust manifold for the external probe. GOOD LUCK

I had the quad egt probe all i had to do was screw it off the pipe adpter and the MSD one on.
Dont know what the 1800 is. Your EGT 1 & 2 are before and after the DPF.
that explains it then...those seem to of ran away...
Also figured out that there are 5 things can be setup in the alerts, just had to pick the ones i wanted.
Ohh and the EGT probe wire has edge on it so i imagine its the same thing.

dashhawk isnt supported by msd no longer....... edge is supporting the equipment. ive had one in my dodge for over a year..... good setup to watch egt, trans temp, ect, and boost......................... there is a 2.9 update...... i had to send mine back in for screen malfunction and got a new one in less than a week. great product....... o yea if u down load the dashhawk program on ur computer u can set ur settings alot easier than trying to do it on the dashhawk its self..... if u have vista u will need to call dashhawk and get them to talk u throught uploading the software on ur computer

MSD owns Dashhawk and Edge. They have only discontinued the software development in the Dashhawk. I dont like the 2.9. I like the 2.3. Everyone to their own. I am not into performance; I just need a moniter. GOOD LUCK

Try to avoid the 2.5 version if you can. It will work ok but the 2.3 is better unless you are into performance more than monitering. You have to have Windows 98 or later. The EGT is in the GM specific section. If you want a EGT probe you will have to order it from Dashhawk and install it in your exhaust manafold. I am not totally convinced that it is necessary. It is so easy a caveman can do it. If I can do it anyone can. If you need help PM me and I will give you my phone number. GOOD LUCK

Go to dashhawk.com and read. The things this thing will do are to many to talk about here.
You will need the probe if u are DPF delete! Edge will work for the probe, Just a different plug an adapter.. And yes I still like it, my main point was if you plan on upgrading in the future to a new truck or car, check to see if they will offer software in the future.....the edge pod will also work...The EGTS and Regen only work if u have the DPF hooked up..
