I have ran the EVO, PPE and Quadzilla, on my LMM without the DPF, and of the 3 i like the Quadzilla for everyday driving, the PPE for hot-rodding.

The EVO had alot of timing noise on the extreme setting, that i dont even get on the 135 of Quad or 225 on my PPE.

if you want to keep your tranny for awhile go with the jiuce... my tranny has a hard time in the extreme setting but you can deffinently tell the difference... the lb7 wont be near as quick as the lly though... an lb7 with stock tires can keep up with my lly with 35's both trucks runnin the jiuce....

off topic here but can i run the efilive with the edge or not???

As far as I know all duramax's take Programmers.. not chips. I believe chips stopped with the OBDI trucks. (Pre 96 IIRC) EFI is a great tool in getting EXACTLY out of your truck what you want. With many off the shelf tuners/programmers, you get too much smoke, or this tune might be just right, but it shifts weird, or whatever. They are PRE SET.. thats the key with EFI live. There is no need to stack with EFI live. You can make your tunes EXACTLY what you want, shift how you want, smoke how you want, and the exact amount of power that you want. When you buy EFI from a vendor, most of them can help you with tuning your truck. There are 3 or 4 people that sell EFI and give you a custom tune with your purchase.

On another note, having the adjust on the fly tuning is very hard on your trans.. Its always best to reset the trans when increasing power levels, and let it learn. Taking the time to do that will help prolong the life of your trans. You can change tunes and reset your Trans with PPE, takes about 3 minutes. With EFI might take 5.. big deal. How often do you really change tunes anyway? I remember when I got my first tuner, I changed them all the time from med to high and back .. its pointless.. Leave it in your daily driver tune and drive normal. Its much easier on the Allison than changing tunes all the time. And when you get ready to pull somethin of considerable weight, take 5 minutes and flash your tow tune.

Whatever you do, take your time, and think ahead. Had I thought ahead I could have saved myself alot of wasted money. I should have listened to RTTOYS, and Danny and a few others.. I shoulda bought EFI live right away.. Its the LAST programmer you will ever need for any OBDII GM vehicle..
