Exclamation 600 HP LB7 Duramax

Well my original plan was to build a 1000hp pullin truck but do to lack of cash i have desided to by a used LB7 and do some work to it. Im not usin my 01 cuz its my trailor pullin rig. Im tryin to get 600hp give or take. Just wanted to get ideas for parts to use. Im planing on useing a Aurora 5000 turbo to flow the air but still lookin for ideas for the rest of the truck. The one thing i am having trouble finding is a cam. Any ideas and tips are a big help. And if there is anyone who hase a duramax making this kinda power i need to find a good transmission so i assume anyone with a 600hp duramax would know what to use.

sorry about the bad spelling.

alright. about the cams, afaik most cams require different valve springs. Socal diesel, compcams.

all that really aint required for that kind of power. even a smaller upgraded turbo can make that kind of power, and be alot more streetable

600 is not hard to achieve with your truck. I suggest EFI Live tuning, built transmission, lift pump and a BD Supermax turbo kit. This set-up has been proven at 650 numerous times. If you have any questions give me a shout.

You can achieve 520-550 on a stock turbo with max effort tuning.

I hear alot of mixed reviews about the BD turbo, the HTT turbo i hear nothing but good things about them.

but yeah, built transmission, turbo and lift pump would work well, depending out how well the truck is maintained it might need a new cp3

You won't need to waste the money on dual cp3's unless you plan on building your engine. We have had great luck with the BD Supermax turbos we have sold.

If you want to do a CP3 upgrade get a LMM pump. It is a upgrade for the Lb7, but will require EFI Live to get it tuned correctly. Studs won't be needed at 40 psi, we have guys running 50-60 on stock head bolts.
