the fuel system wont be able to keep up with the demmands of the tune, and the turbo wont be able to supply enough air to the engine so it will smoke alot.

also the stock transmission cant hold that kind of power

so in order for my dad to run that tune he would have to have an upgraded fuel pump and a much bigger turbo. but he could prolly run the level 5 tune(mid power) without upgrading the fuel pump or the turbo or trans??

The stock allison can only take 60-80hp (@flywheel) above stock before you are running on borrowed time, especially if you drive it hard or tow a lot.

Many guys will run higher than that but before you start getting stupid with power, you need gauges and upgraded exhaust. Then if you want to go big, upgrade the transmission.

the stock cp3 and turbo cant possibly supply the ammount of fuel and air o generate that kind of power. for stock trucks its not gonna help, you will make more power with a lower level.

Depending on what he uses it for and his driving style I wouldnt go much above 4 the trans will not like it

if hes anything like my dad all he wants is the fuel economy and tow power. we have a lb7 with intake, 4in exhaust and diablo sport programmer. by far enough power and torque for him. its not worth it to throw that much psi and power into that motor and turbo. its just going to eventually mess some **** and have to pay alot to repair..
