Thinking about EFI live
Hi guys, I have been thinking about getting EFI live, with that 5 setting switch, I was wondering if anyone had any expericence in hooking up that switch. I was also wondering if anyone could maybe hook me up with some economy tunes and a towing toon and a all out tune for a Stock tranny. Thanks

the wires for the switch is a little tough to get in the ecm harness cause your working with wires they have little slack and in a small place. but patience will help out with the install its just two wires.
the program itself its overwhelming at first lots of tables and finding out where to start adjusting and how to adjust it is a huge learning curve. some people dont even mess with tuning thier own vehicle they just let the people who sell efi tune it for them

What is the difference in a nutshell with efi live v1 and v2, what application would I need, I want to tune myself or try different tunes from people. what do you guys think? Thanks
the v1 is a little box works with 01-05 trucks.
the v2 works with just about everything and you can use it to switch tunes manualy without having a dsp5 switch hard wired in the ecm, black box logging, and its a must for 06 and up dmaxes

So I can get a v1 with the dsp5 switch, and the are around 500bucks, does the v1 have a readout on it? From what I gather the v2 has one on it to read codes and what not? can you program the tranny with the v1 too? I now alot of people sell the who is the best person to buy one from... Thanks for all the help..

the v1 is just a black brick, it cant do much compared to the v2
with the v1 you will need two licenses to tune the ecm and tcm on the same truck. But wit the v2 you will only need one license to do that.

I'd just go ahead and get the V2 you'll probably wish you had in the long run. Plus BBL is the bomb
I don't know if we have and vendors on here but make sure you go with someone reputable and can make you a quality tune to get you started.
I vote V2 as well. If your not going to ever do your own tuning and have a laptop forever then the V1 isn't so bad of option. Anyone know if you can use the bidirectional controls with the V1 those are cool too?
